Dressing a car’s tires after washing it is like putting icing on the cake; it’s the last step before you can step back and appreciate the hard work you’ve put in to detailing your car. Esoteric Tire Dressing was developed over months of testing different combinations of chemistry to land on exactly what we wanted to use on our own cars. We wanted something that left a satin sheen; wet-looking tires may be good for a used car lot, but they aren’t good for a car detailing at Esoteric. We wanted something that was easy to apply; too many dressings didn’t spread evenly on textured tire sidewalls. We wanted something that would dry quickly; too many dressings would sling all over the car once you drove away. We wanted something that would hold up over time without damaging the tires; too often, the only tire dressings that would last were solvent based and serve to dry out rubber. Lastly, we wanted something that could be easily cleaned off with a tire cleaner when we were ready for new tire dressing; too many tire dressings were too difficult to get off the tires even though they had lost their sheen.
